Could DeFi be EOS’s salvation?
As DeFi grows, so does EOS.
On August 15, EOS founder Daniel Larimer (BM) tweeted:”I created the first #DeFi platform in 2014, and DeFi was the necessity that inspired DPOS, TAPOS, and high performance databases and account structure. #EOS was designed for DEFI.”
Earlier in the same day, BM responded to its twitter users by saying: “Eos is A better stack for building complex high performance defi. Defi on #eth is a hack and requires many ugly comprises to compensate for latency, gas attacks, reorganization, and lack of sorted databases.”
Under the continuous push of BM, EOS also pulled up in a straight line and appeared a continuous rising market.According to data from ZB.com, EOS rose continuously from August 15 to 16, with an increase of about 25%.
How far is EOS DeFi from ETH DeFi?
Aside from the EOS rally, how likely is it that EOS will move to DeFi?
According to the data from Defiprime, 22 of the 209 DeFi projects are deployed on EOS, including decentralized exchanges such as Bancor, Newdex, Switcheo, and so on.Asset management tools such as BitPie, Cobo, imToken, etc.Infrastructure and development tools such as Bancor Protocol, Carbon, Moonpay, etc.Stablecoin like EOSDT, etc.
Obviously, the current DeFI project is focused almost exclusively on Ethereum, whereas EOS has a layout but is not as numerous or as widely used as Ethereum.
